The word “Zen” is often tossed around as a synonym for calm or aesthetic minimalism, but its roots run much deeper. Zen is a philosophy and practice of being fully awake to life, here and now. In Barcelona, there’s no shortage of meditation offerings. Many lean into the highly spiritual, adorned with popular buzzwords and instagram-ready ceremonies. That’s not our path.
At Practical Zen, we take a no-nonsense, grounded approach to reconnect body and mind. Everyday tools you can practice in daily life. No dramatic changes, no fluff. We don’t look to the stars or outside ourselves for answers. We cultivate presence. We return to our breath. We listen to our bodies. And yes, in its own way, that’s spiritual too. Because your breath holds power. The power to anchor you in this moment. The power to calm your mind, steady your heart, and reconnect with the quiet strength within you.

Hi, I’m Celine, a scientist, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for mindfulness. With a background in immunology and biomedical sciences, I’ve spent years exploring how the body responds to stress, disease, and healing. My own journey with an autoimmune condition led me to search for balance beyond heavy medicine.
That search brought me to Zen. And being a scientist at heart, I didn’t just dip a toe in. I fully immersed myself in the practice, learning how breath, awareness, and simple rituals could profoundly change how we feel, heal, and move through life.
Founding two companies taught me how to juggle challenges, follow intuition, and stay grounded in knowledge. During my most stressfull times, Zen gave me a calm, steady place within myself, it gave me the connection with my Breath. Now, i carry a safe space everywhere i go, as i can take refuge in the breath. Through Practical Zen, I hope to help others discover that same quiet refuge, and offer practical, science-backed tools to feel more present, resilient, and alive in daily life.
Now, i am not a Zen master, nor do i claim to be! But i do have a lot of experience, and a passion for teaching. With Practical Zen I hope to help provide people a first stepping stone towards meditation. Because often, beginning, or finding where to begin, is the hardest part. I hope to provide support, inspiration and share my knowledge, so people can find their own path within Zen.
